Brushy Creek Pottery is the work of artist Michelle Grana, a passionate ceramic artist who wanted to share her love for pottery with the world. Her work is known for organic shapes and beautiful glazing techniques. She enjoys creating a wide variety of both decorative and functional handmade stoneware pieces.
Michelle uses only the finest stoneware clay to create her work and sources the clay from local suppliers. Each of her pieces is brush glazed and handbuilt, meaning she does not use a wheel. She enjoys allowing pieces to evolve, rather than trying to control them with the use of a wheel. Her work intentionally reflects organic shapes and she sometimes allows building marks to show through. She believes being able to clearly see that pieces are made by hand lets their uniqueness shine! Michelle creates her work in small batches and each is one of a kind.
Michelle believes in sustainability and ethical production practices. She strives to minimize our environmental impact and supports local communities. She also believes in creating beautiful, decorative & functional pieces that bring joy to her customers!
