Michelle Grana – Handbuilt Pottery Artist |Greer, SC
Brushy Creek Pottery is the work of Michelle Grana, a self-taught ceramic artist based in Greer, South Carolina, known for her expressive handbuilt pottery that celebrates organic forms, vibrant colors, and inventive glazing techniques. Forgoing the traditional potter’s wheel, she creates each piece by hand, focusing on small-batch, one-of-a-kind works that blur the line between functional object and sculptural art.
Her signature style features fluid curves, natural textures, and a bold, playful aesthetic that invites touch and sparks joy. Each piece is infused with personality and a sense of discovery—whether through an unexpected contour, a burst of color, or a tactile surface treatment. Michelle's mission is simple: to make people smile and see pottery in a fresh, imaginative way.
Her work has been published in Carolina Muse magazine and selected for juried exhibitions in Greenville and Spartanburg, underscoring her rising presence in the regional art community. Michelle’s pottery is available at GVL ART on Main Street in downtown Greenville, where her vibrant pieces captivate both seasoned collectors and casual passersby.
Currently, she is developing a whimsical new collection of bud vases, continuing her exploration of color, shape, and surface in delightful and surprising ways.
Michelle believes in sustainability and ethical production practices. She strives to minimize our environmental impact and supports local communities. She also believes in creating beautiful, decorative & functional pieces that bring joy to her customers!
